why do i still crave regular cigarettes after smoking ecigarettes?

Question by Wa Key: why do i still crave regular cigarettes after smoking ecigarettes?
Hello. I notice when I smoke ecigarettes, I really enjoy them, but I find it very hard to use them as a replacement to regular cigarettes. I still crave a regular cigarette and can only make it a few days before I have to smoke a regular.

Is this because the nicotine delivery system is flawed in ecigarettes, or is it the fact that I may crave some of the other substances within a regular cigarette besides the nicotine?

Thank you for any ideas.

Sorry I don’t have the answer to your questions but just wanted to say that I’m exactly the same. I enjoy the e-cig, but I never feel like I’ve had my cravings satified and end up smoking a real cigarette afterwards. So in the end, gave up with the e-cig and am back to the real thing again

Maybe this is smoking withdrawal syndrome. Cravings for a cigarette are frequent and intense within the first two to three days after stopping. The cravings become less frequent over the next four or five days, but they may increase again and persist for many weeks. Most former smokers – even those who have been free for many years – still report an occasional urge for a cigarette.
Deep breathing and immediate activity will help distract from the cravings. The worst of the cravings usually end within a couple of weeks after breaking free. Newly free smoker is considered to be in a good shape when he no longer thinks of cigarettes all the time.
